Homelessness as a historically created phenomenon and current state of homelessness (possible health and social conditions of existence).

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of homelessness. The aim of the thesis is to map the current situation and identify the causes of homelessness in České Budějovice. This topic is examined from the perspective of the homeless and the organizations dedicated to this issue in the city. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into two sections. The first section outlines the genesis of homelessness from its first occurrence to the current state in the present day world. The second section of the theoretical part focuses on a general description of homelessness and the services involved in addressing this problem. A qualitative approach was chosen for the research section, and data was obtained through a semi-structured interview technique with social workers from 5 helping organizations and a total of 6 homeless individuals. The research results closely mapped the current situation and causes of homelessness in České Budějovice. The study provides a comprehensive view of the issue of homelessness and allows for an understanding of how organizations perceive this phenomenon and how they improve the quality of life for these individuals. This bachelor thesis can improve awareness of this issue and support discussions on potential solutions. Analyzing this social problem can help workers in institutions and organizations better understand this situation and improve their professional strategies. Additionally, it can provide information on the needs and experiences of homeless individuals and help them improve their situation. This thesis can also be useful for further research and studies in this field.
Problems of homelessness in the social field

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of homelessness in the social sphere, aiming to highlight the forms and causes of homelessness among people who use services intended for homeless people. It also contains chapters that relate to the explanation of basic concepts that are essential for understanding of this issue. The second part of this bachelor thesis is enriched with human stories based on case studies. At the end of the work, the findings are visible, extended by the subjective view of clients, where they see the main cause of their homelessness.
The Life of Homeless Women in a Selected Region through the Eyes of Themselves

The bachelor thesis deals with the life of homeless women in České Budějovice. The main aim of the thesis is to present the various challenges that are related to the loss of housing, and to find out what the most common causes of homelessness of women in České Budějovice are. The practical part of this bachelor thesis is conducted through the qualitative research strategy. The method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interview were used. The research sample consists of eight homeless women living in the area of the South Bohemian Region, specifically in České Budějovice. The research sample was selected using the snowball sampling method. The results of the interviews were collected and further processed using the open coding method. Through this method, ten categories with specific codes were created. The results of the research showed that the most common causes of homelessness of women in České Budějovice are domestic violence and unsatisfactory (dysfunctional) relationships with family. The communication partners also shared dissatisfaction with the current situation and stated that they wished to change their situation. It also became apparent that the communication partners consider the absence of stable housing to be the main problem. This bachelor thesis could serve, for example, as a source of information for students or as feedback for social service providers in České Budějovice
The Homeless Person with a Dog as in Alternative Family Unit

This thesis approaches the question of homelessness in the Czech Republic, focusing specifically on homeless people with dogs who together form an alternative family unit. The purpose of this thesis is to map and present comprehensively viewed information and specifics relating to the group. The thesis aims to inspire the reader to ponder on the discussed issue, that is to be aware that this family unit requires to be approached as a whole, and not as two separate components - a homeless person and a dog. The first part of the thesis defines the theoretical aspect of the question in discussion, based primarily on academic literature sources, but also on sources from the internet which reflect on the focus of the research. Then follows a practical part where a questionnaire is conducted with homeless people with dogs, where the main research question was what the obstacles are preventing this group from living a fulfilling life. Interviews were also conducted with selected people who have been working with homeless people with dogs for a long time. Using both of these research tools, an overall result was achieved. Social work with homeless people serving a custodial sentence

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to introduce the reader to the work of a social worker with homeless people serving prison sentences during all the phases of their sentence. It defines the specifics of social work in prisons and describes the various types of situation that most convicts experience and the ways in which these situations may be resolved. The work also covers the definition of the roles of prison social worker, social curator and social worker for a non-profit organization, and effective ways in which they can work together. Several independent studies have found that social work has a significant impact on reducing recidivism and crime in general, since it serves as an effective tool not only when working with people in prison, but also as a tool to prevent crime. In my case studies, therefore, I show how to do the kind of social work that we already know is reducing recidivism. The benefit of my work lies in a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind the quantitative results of social work. Keywords Social work, recidivism, offender, sentence, prison, homeless person

The bachelor thesis on the Possibilities of Social Rehabilitation of the Salvation Army Clients at the Center of Social Services Lidická deals with people without home, people in crisis. The theoretical part focuses on description and problematic areas related to people without shelter. For the practical part of the thesis the data of the users of the social rehabilitation service were selected and studied. This part of the thesis deals specifically with the analysis of the Salvation Army users. People who used the Social Rehabilitation Service CSSL in 2014-2016 were selected for the analysis.

Pathways out of Homelessness from the Respondents Point of View

Presented thesis is called Pathways Out of Homelessness from the Respondents Point of View. It basis lays in the analysis of interviewes with nine respondents by so called grounded theory method. As an answer to the question - How formaly homeless people get back to the society from their point of view? - the model of Changeable identity emerged. Its description is the basis of this thesis. I clarify two positions "homeless person" and "person with full society membership" within it, I am observing the transformation from the first position to the second through the reintegration process. I follow influences that affect it. In conclusion, I discuss a question of the end of homelessness. Homeless Movement in Urban Area: Illustrated by the Example of Prague

The following text deals with homeless movement in an urban area and is based on a qualitative field research carried out in the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, from the early November 2014 until the beginning of May 2015. The research of such a sensitive topic as homelessness demands much higher attention, with regard to respecting the ethical rules of the field research and publication of materials gained. Therefore, my thesis deals with the motives of their movement usually based on meeting basic human needs, and with general characteristics of locations they stay in. This information clarify why homeless people move in the city without revelation of exact maps of their location, because this may endanger my informants.
